Manon Edwards Ahir

Manon has been a professional communicator throughout her adult life. A former senior BBC journalist and television series producer, she established mela to help guide others through the press and media landscape that she knows so well.

During her broadcast career in Cardiff and London, her wanderlust took Manon filming all over the world – she witnessed the fall of Milosevic in Belgrade during the Serbian revolution, had her cameras impounded by the Zimbabwean authorities and investigated Iceland’s unique gene pool. Back home she became an elections anorak for the BBC, responsible for co-ordinating coverage of every election in Wales between 2001 and 2010 and specialised in producing major broadcast events such as the Royal Opening of the Senedd which gained her a BAFTA Cymru award.

Naturally sociable and curious, Manon enjoys working on ideas with a full range of clients and their teams. She is an Accredited Practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR) and also member of the British Council’s UK pool of Events and Visits Co-ordinators.

Manon loves the challenge of a blank piece of paper, a white screen, a silence and a new story to tell. She is a creative heart with a strategic head.
